Description: Original German cuckoo clock in a traditional style, with hand-carved figurines. The clock has a music and moving dancers. This clock is a very fine carving model. High quality carving, leaves and blossoms shape the entire carving of the clock. Atop the roof stands an impressively decorated cow. Similarly sized and balancing the size of the cow is a pair of grandparents, each sitting on a stone at the lower right and left of the clock. The theme of this clock is the annual return of livestock from high alpine summer pastures. Therefore, all the returning cows are beautifully decorated with floral wreaths and large bells. This is one of the main summer events in the Alps, and everybody is present to watch. Even the grandparents, sitting along the way and enjoying the view. The carvings on this clock are very high quality and the figurines are exceptionally large. They are made of wood and are handpainted. The size of these figurines, combined with the fine carving account for the very high price of this clock. All parts are made of wood and are handpainted.
